It is the result of a request from the drummer for more material in odd time signatures. Change moves from 8 measures of 3/4 to four-measure sections of 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, 6/4, and 7/4, with a return to 3/4.
The harmonic scheme on the recording utilizes hexatonics.
